Beautiful Living Wall

Living walls, or green walls as they are sometimes known, seem to be having a moment.  You can find them all over London in outdoor and indoor spaces.  The living wall located near the new development in Kings Cross on Goods Way, is spectacular, as you can see below.

In a squashed city like London, thinking vertically is a good idea for gardens in the capital which might be light-deprived and short on space.  However, a living wall although beautiful, can be costly and tricky to maintain, involving complicated irrigation and feeding systems which have to be checked and adjusted through the seasons.  It was therefore very satisfying to help a client with the installation of an artificial version of the real thing.  Can you tell the difference?

Convincing isn’t it? It was a lovely project to supervise as we were able to find a solution to adding some greenery to the space without having to think about which type of plant would thrive there.  Obviously!  Installation was hassle and mess free and didn’t take a huge amount of time, thanks to The Plant Man.  But, you might not have that kind of time to spare, which is where the role of the concierge comes in.  Now the space is ready and waiting for the warmer days of spring to arrive and a glass of red on the terrace. Perfect.
